  • Versatile Aquarium Substrate: Can be used as a standalone substrate or combined with other aquarium substrates for customised aquascapes.

Suitable For: Freshwater aquariums, planted tanks, community aquariums, aquascaping projects and suitable terrarium environments.

How to Use: Although Aqua Natural Sahara Gold Quartz Sand is pre-washed, rinse thoroughly with clean water before adding it to your aquarium to remove any remaining fine dust. Spread evenly across the aquarium base to your desired depth, arrange decorations and plants, then slowly fill the aquarium with water to minimise substrate disturbance and cloudiness.

Planting Tip: As quartz sand is an inert substrate that does not provide nutrients for plants, use root tabs or a nutrient-rich substrate underneath when growing heavy root-feeding aquatic plants.
